Welcome to Electromaker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, as well as the hardware repair, micro-soldering, and modification services we provide. By utilizing our services or shipping your device to us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Provisions & Company Information
These Terms apply to all offers, agreements, and services executed by Electromaker, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) under KvK number: 99543966

2. Scope of Repair Services
We specialize in advanced component-level hardware repair, including but not limited to HDMI port replacement, liquid metal thermal restoration, and Hall Effect sensor upgrades.
Diagnostic Process: All devices are subject to an initial diagnostic evaluation upon arrival. If the device exhibits undisclosed damage or prior third-party repair attempts (e.g., torn solder pads, structural motherboard damage), we reserve the right to revise the estimated quote or decline the repair.
Data Loss: While board-level hardware repairs do not typically affect internal storage, we are not liable for any loss of data. Customers are strictly advised to back up all personal data before shipping or handing over their device.

3. Shipping and Risk of Loss
For customers utilizing mail-in repair services:
Inbound Transit: The customer assumes all responsibility and risk of loss, damage, or theft while the device is in transit to our facility. We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping.
Outbound Transit: Once the repair is completed, the device will be shipped back to the customer. Risk of loss transfers to the shipping carrier upon handover. We insure outbound packages up to the replacement value of the hardware unless explicitly requested otherwise by the customer.

4. Warranty & Guarantees
We stand by the precision of our engineering and micro-soldering. We offer specific warranties based on the service provided:
Coverage: Our warranty covers the specific components replaced (e.g., Hall Effect modules, HDMI 2.1 receptacles) and the integrity of the solder joints for a period of 6 months from the date of return delivery.
Exclusions: This warranty is immediately voided if the device is opened, subjected to physical damage (e.g., dropped, liquid damage, forced cable insertion), or if the warranty seal is broken. The warranty does not cover unrelated hardware failures that may occur after our service.

5. Unclaimed & Abandoned Devices
In the event a repair is completed, or a diagnostic quote is provided, the customer will be notified via the provided contact methods.If an invoice remains unpaid, or the device remains unclaimed for a period of 60 days following initial notification, the device will be considered legally abandoned.Abandoned devices will be recycled, sold, or used for donor components to recover the costs of labor, diagnostics, and storage.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Electromaker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the repair process. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that specific service.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands.
